This week on the #CookBlogShare round up we have five recipes that have a cured pork product as a main ingredient. Bacon, Prosciutto and spicy Chorizo all add their own unique flavours to these fabulous dishes. Plus you will find the #CookBlogShare linky for week 49.

Welcome to my penultimate #CookBlogShare of the year and once again I have had a fabulous bunch of recipes to choose from for this weeks round up. It never fails to surprise me how many amazing dishes get linked each week. We #CookBlogShare bloggers are a busy lot.
On both here on Recipes Made Easy and over at Only Crumbs Remain like many food bloggers, this time of year I have been rather busy creating and sharing new festive recipes. And in addition to these lovely pork recipes there were some delicious sweet and savoury festive recipes linked up to so do pop back and check them out if you haven’t done so already.
As some of you may be aware, there are a few changes coming up. Last week Eb at Easy Peasy Foodie hosted her last #CookBlogShare and next week Monica at Everyday Healthy Recipes will be hosting her last linky. So let me take this opportunity now to say what fun it has been to share the regular hosting spots with these two fabulous blogs. Its been a privilege working with them and I will miss them.
Introducing guest hosts to this linky has been an enormous success thanks to the amazing bloggers who volunteered. So going forward #CookBlogShare will be regularly hosted by myself on the last week of each month and Lesley and Michelle at Lost in Food on the 2nd week of each month.
Having just two blogs hosting on a regular basis means we can free up even more spots for guest hosts. Thank you to everyone who has already put their name forward. If you would like to host and haven’t already told me then do get in touch. Our guest hosts make #CookBlogShare one of the best food blogging communities to be in. I hope you agree.
and now to my pick of the recipes linked last week:
5 Cured Pork Recipes
Chorizo and Bean winter Stew

This flavourful stew from Lou’s Kitchen Corner is the perfect winter warmer to put on the stove and let your kitchen fill with amazing spicy-earthy-warm smells.
Asparagus with Poached Eggs and Proscuitto

While I prefer English Asparagus, which only has a very short season I could be tempted to buy imported Asparagus at other times of the year to make this fabulous brunch dish from Feast Glorious Feast.
Meatloaf Wrapped in Bacon

Sometimes the tastiest dishes are not always the most photogenic. Meatloaf being a case in point. But what this dish lacks in aesthetics, it more than makes up for in flavour. With the addition of cheese and crispy bacon you can be sure this meatloaf from Foodle Club is going to be packed with flavour.
Bacon and Artichoke Quiche

This quiche is another recipe from Lou’s Kitchen Corner and she describes it as “A go to recipe for busy people”. Well, we all need those!
Bacon Wrapped Dates

With the party season just getting into full swing this is a great party nibble recipe to have to hand quick and easy to make Dates Wrapped in Bacon From Curly’s Cooking are utterly delicious! As are prunes (devils on horseback) in my opinion

Yes, all of these dishes appeal to me – I am a bacon fiend!
I look forward to regular hosting and hopefully do Eb and Monika justice following on from them. Its a great community to be part of and I’ve met so many great bloggers through it. Here’s to 2020! Michelle x
Monika Dabrowski
Thank you for your kind words Jacqui, I will miss being a co-host with you and Eb too! It’s been fun, hasn’t it? Great roundup this week!
Choclette
Yep, it’s Christmas blogging all the way here. Desperately trying to update all my old festive content. Glad to hear you’re keeping #CookBlogShare going and thank you. It’s a nice community.
Jacqueline Bellefontaine
It is indeed a lovely community Choclette, I’m so happy to be a part of it.
Eb Gargano | Easy Peasy Foodie
Lovely roundup, Jacqui. I am a big fan of cured pork in all its forms but my favourite from this week has to be those wonderful bacon wrapped dates. Such a fab combo of sweet and salty! Thanks for your kind words. It feels very strange participating in CBS as just a normal participant, rather than one of the hosts. The first time I’ve done that in years! (But definitely won’t be the last – I fully plan on remaining a strong CBS supporter and regular participant for a long time yet!) Eb x
Jacqueline Bellefontaine
So pleased you will be continuing to link to #CookBlogShare I know everyone loves your recipes so they would be missed if you didnt.

Great roundup and thank you for featuring my chorizo stew and bacon and artichoke quiche As my stepson says ‘bacon makes everything taste better’ so he will be happily trying out the other delicious looking recipes you’ve included – thanks
Jacqueline Bellefontaine
My son would agree with your stepson everything does taste better with bacon 😉
Donna
What a fab round-up. I love cured pork, and don’t use it often enough so will have to give these a try.

What a brilliant theme – absolutely up my alley! Thanks for including my brunch dish – you’re right, whilst I do mostly make it in asparagus season, I do crack and make it at other times of the year too!
Jacqueline Bellefontaine
Right up a my Alley too 🙂
Corina Blum
Lovely round up! I am especially tempted by Lou’s chorizo and bean winter stew as I love making meals like that with chorizo in!
