  • 250 g brown rice (9oz/1 cup)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 300 ml water (½ pint/1¼ cups)


  • Place the rice, salt and water in a pressure cooker. Lock the lid into place and bring to high pressure.
  • Regulate the heat to maintain the pressure and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and release the pressure quickly. Serve!
