For the final #CookBlogShare of the year and final #CookBlogShare hosted here at Recipes Made Easy I have rounded up my Pick of #CookBlogShare recipes linked up in 2020. You will also find the linky for #cookBlogshare 2020 weeks 51 &52.

Welcome to the last #CookBlogShare of 2020 and the very last #CookBlogShare post on Recipes Made Easy.
At Recipes Made Easy I have been hosting the weekly linky for all things foodie, once a month for over 3½ years. Its the place where food bloggers can share their latest posts and for you the reader to find new food blogs and recipes to enjoy.
When I first joined #CookBlogShare it was already a thriving and popular linky. From the very first post, I linked up to hosting and then running the linky, most recently with regular co-hosts Lost In Food, I have found the most amazingly supportive and friendly community of Food bloggers and I thank each and every one of them for making it that way.
Over that time I have also seen hundreds of delicious recipes linked up. Sadly there have just not been enough hours in the day and days in the week to make as many of them, as I would have liked as along the way I have found some real gems.
And so it is not without a degree of sadness that I write my last #CookBlogShare post. But things change and I think it is the right time to pass the linky onto the new and very capable hands of Karen from Lavender and Lovage and Sisley from Sew White who I know will do a great job on taking #CookBlogShare into 2021 and beyond.
The Best of 2020
There have been so many delicious recipes linked and shared while I have been hosting with last weeks linky hosted by Cooking with my Kids being no exception.
So for my last round up I have decided to do things a little differently. I have looked back at my #CookBlogShare posts from this year and picked my favourite of the shared recipes (taken from the previous week and used in my themed roundups each month) as well as my favourite recipe that was linked up to that linky.
With so many great recipes linked up it wasn't easy but here it is my pick of #CookBlogShare 2020.
January
For my first #CookBlogShare of 2020, I did a round-up of winter soups which had been linked the previous week, my favourite had to be this red pepper soup from Lou's Kitchen.

and of the recipes linked up it was this equally comforting dhal from Easy Peasy foodie that was a winner for January.

February
In February I shared 4 fabulous bakes and my hard to pick favourite of the bunch is this Orange Cake from Curly's Cooking.

Of the recipes linked up that week It was this leek and cheese tart from a Farmers Girl kitchen really took my eye.

March
For March, as Easter fast approached I chose Chocolate for my round up theme. Now its always hard to choose your favourite chocolate recipe but these chocolate fudge brownies from Tin and Thyme look gooey and chocolatey enough to take the title.

And it was these pretty shortbread squares from Lavender and Lovage linked up that week that cheered me up in a week that had seen us in the UK go into a full national lockdown.

April
I choose Cheese bakes as my #Cookblogshare round-up theme. As flour shortages began to be widely felt, those of us that could get hold of some were baking and had I been able to go to my cottage in Suffolk and forage some wild garlic I would have made these sourdough scones from Lavender and lovage for sure.

Of those linked up these chicken tacos from Lost in food was just the sort of recipe anyone looking for a quick easy family midweek meal needed.

May
While enjoying a particularly pleasant spring weather-wise my mind turned to lighter meals, so for May I chose Meat Free Summer Dishes for the round-up. This colourful Shakshuka from the Gluten Free Alchemist really appealed.

and from the recipes linked up that week it was another quiche, this time again from The Gluten Free Alchemist that really took my fancy. Perfect for Alfresco eating.

June
During June, we were still in lockdown and I was kept busy picking fruit from my little urban allotment. Meals tended to be light and summery so I choose Low Cal Recipes for the #CookBlogShare round up. Courgette Pasta from Lost in Food was typical of the kind of meals I was eating at the time.

As I mainly grow summer berries on my allotment, I was making preserves and enjoying summer fruit desserts, so this strawberry and cream dessert from Tin and Thyme gets my vote as a favourite recipe linked up that week.

July
Choosing a theme from the previous weeks linked up recipe proved a little tricky until I noticed a bit of a spicy theme among the recipe. So for July, it was Meat-free Curry and Indian Dishes. So while still only able to dream of travels to far off climes we can indulge into some delicious dishes such as this creamy Halmoumi curry from the Effortless Foodie

The Not so Creative Cook often links up with so many unusual and really tempting recipes that I just want to try (if I can get hold of some of the more unusual ingredients she uses in her Filipino recipes.) These Choc Puto Flans are still on my must-try list.

August
Come August it was easy to pick a frozen treats for a theme. It was summer after all and I adore ice cream. But it was actually this Orange Sorbet from Lost in Food that really got my mouth watering.

Choosing a favourite from the recipes linked up was also really easy, Maltesers cheesecake from The Baking Explorer simply because it mixes Maltesers and cheesecake and what is not to love about that!. Actually, it wasnt that easy as the blackberry and gin icecream from Glutarama was a very close second.

September
And before we knew it the summer was over and we were heading into Autumn. So I picked Midweek Autumn Meals as the theme and this Pasta Ragu dish from Culinary travels was one of several lovely recipes that really fitted the bill.

I do love simple unpretentious cakes so the Sultana Cake linked by Cooking with my kids stood out as my favourite recipe linked up to Septembers linky.

October
October and it was back to thinking about soups stews and casserole. Good old comforting food for what was turning out to be a year that had us all crying out for comfort food. A classic leek and potato soup from Taste Botanical fits the brief perfectly.

An easy winner for my favourite recipe linked that week was these Haloween cupcakes from Feast Glorious Feast. Simple to make but very effective and above all fun!

November
Despite thinks being uncertain in the run up to Christmas November saw the start of the festive recipes appear and although large scale partying was off the menu I choose Festive Party Treats as a theme. After all a few treats are what we all need. Sitting down with a glass of wine and a bowl of these Honey Roasted Cashew nuts from Searching for Spice would indeed be a lovely treat party or no party.

And from the recipes linked up these snowmen truffles from The Baking Explorer look fun and we all need a bit of that right now.

December
And so we arrive at December and this linky. So I will leave it up to you to choose your favourite recipe from this post and from those linked up over the next two week.
#CookBlogShare 2020 week 51&52

Aw, definitely feels like the end on an era. I remember when Kirsty first suggested you as a possible co-host. And I remember wholeheartedly agreeing with her that you'd be a good choice 😀 It was tough for me to step down from hosting CBS last year, so I know how you must be feeling... but I am so happy CBS will still be continuing! And in such good hands. I just love how the baton keeps being passed on and each time CBS just gets better and better! And what a way to go out. Loved this roundup and thanks so much for including my dhal 😀 Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Eb x
