When you need a little treat try one of these fabulous small sweet bakes; nice things come in small packages. Plus find the #CookBlogShare linky for week 19.
Gosh how time flies, it's 5 weeks since my last #CookBlogShare post. A lot has happened since my last post, with 5 Tuesdays in the month of March we have had not one but two guests host. Lost In Food and Flipped Out Food, Many thanks for doing such a fabulous job ladies.
Easter has been and gone and as I write this post it is a bank holiday Monday so we have had 3 short working weeks since last time. With another bank holiday only a few weeks away it does seem a shame that in the UK we have most of our public holidays in the early part of the year when the weather is far from reliable. And what a mixed up year this has been for weather some unseasonably hot days in February then an amazing record-breaking sunny Easter, and now this weekend it is back to being really rather cold and wet. Frustrating as I had planned to get a lot more gardening done at our holiday cottages in Suffolk but i did manage to tidy up the front gardens of the two cottages we let and the parking area. Behind that brown gate in the centre picture below is a large back garden under going extensive works.
But I digress.... Here on Recipes Made Easy, yet again I have been working behind the scenes helping to make the site secure and run faster. When I say I, what I really mean is using the first of my income from advertising to pay someone to do this for me. Until now I have always relied on my techie friend Sabrina and she's still there helping, but she is a busy lady. You can test a friendship too much and I wouldn't like her to think our friendship is quite literally too much hard work. So I decided to enlist the help of MaAnna from BlogAid. There were a few hick-ups along the way, including the disappearing #CookBlogShare badge but that's sorted now (see new code below). Among other improvements, I'm delighted to say that now I have more than doubled my site speed which should make for a better user experience.
4 Sweet Treats
And now to #CookBlogShare – As always picking 4 or 5 from all the lovely recipes linked up to #CookBlogShare to share in a round up is never an easy task. There were some with a Mexican theme linked up for Cinco de Mayo which was this weekend but eventually I settled on 4 small sweet treats, 2 biscuits, 1 tray bake and some muffins. All perfect for a little sweet treat.
Chocolate Chip and Banana Oat Bars
Sweet and gooey these chocolate chip and banana oat bars from Searching For Spice are a fantastic family recipe that kids and adults will love. They’re perfect as an afternoon snack, dessert or even as a breakfast bar.
Rhubarb Crumble Muffins
Deliciously light and fluffy muffins with tasty roasted rhubarb and finished with a crumble topping. These Rhubarb Crumble Muffins from Curly's Cooking are a new way to enjoy a popular dessert.
Sablé Breton Cookies
The Foodie Journey shared her recipe for a classic french biscuit. These Sablé Breton cookies aka French Salted Butter Cookies are deliciously crumbly and super easy to make.
Raspberry and White Chocolate Chip Cookies
These Raspberry and White Chocolate Chip Cookies on my own baking blog Only Crumbs Remain where the most frequently requested flavour on a recent poll I asked on the blog. Based on my original Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe here on Recipes Made Easy, this variation is as good if not better.
Three other fabulous sweet but not small bakes also linked up and worth a mention were Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf Cake also from the Foodie Journey; Glutarama's Gluten Free Coffee & Walnut Cake and a Chocolate Marble Cheese Cake from Jo's Kitchen Larder.

Lovely round up. The rhubarb crumble muffins really float my boat! Reminding me that I have some crumble loose in a freezer bag that would be perfect for these! Thanks for hosting!
Sisley White
These all look so delicious. I can't wait to try a few more this weekend.
Anna | Once Upon A Food Blog
These all look yummy although the rhubarb crumble muffins really caught my eye. They would be a good way to make a dent in my prolific rhubarb patch!

As if its inevitable there is some overlap with recipes. Glad o see someone else ho loves snickerdoodles I cant understand why they are not more popular here.

I am linkup up a very old recipe which was so quiet on my blog I forgot I ever made it. So i made it again (a bit differently this time). Let's hope this new and revised version makes some noise! Shared the linky. Let's hope this horrible weather changes soon so we can all start spending time outside.
